Over the last half-term, Explorers have been doing Christmas themed crafts to decorate Whitley Bay Explorer Scouts Headquarters at the Quarry Centre for the festive period!
The group has been making everything from salt dough Christmas characters, to Gingerbread houses, Christmas tree decorations and many other things.
The group even made a life-size snowman using disposable white cups and left-over card!
One of the Explorers commented: “The best bit has definitely been building the snowman. We got the idea from pinterest, and it just goes to show what you can make from a few bits of rubbish and leftover materials.”
And to finish off the term, our amazing snowman lit up our final investiture of the term as we welcomed Alex into the Explorer Scout Unit!
We hope everyone enjoys the photos of our festive decorations – we’ve definitely had lots of fun making them.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas!
