6 Explorers enjoyed the first night exploring the art of Bushcraft on Friday night. The Explorers, led by Cain Scrimgeour, started in the local Holywell Dene. With guidance from Cain, the Explorers learnt how they can use Plants, Trees, and even fungus to thrive in the wild. Cain explained how the Black King Alfred Fungus can be used as a fuel in fires and the benefits of it’s long burn time. There was a chance to taste Sorrel; a plant that has a distinctive apple taste from carboxylic acids!
