100+ Explorer Scouts have taken part in Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expeditions in 2017 to date

A total of 34 Bronze, Silver or Gold DofE expeditions (practice and assessed) since the start of the 2016 – 2017 year

20 Explorer Scouts completed first aid training courses over the last year

60+ Young Leaders volunteering their time with Beaver Colonies, Cub Packs and Scout Troops across the District

11 Explorer Scouts interviewed live on air during a visit to BBC Radio Newcastle

38 Explorer Scouts and 11 Leaders preparing to travel to Adelboden, Switzerland in August 2017

6 Young Leader belts awarded for successful completion of the Young Leader training scheme
