We had an early start today to visit the open air Museum of Ballenberg today, it features chalets and buildings from all over Switzerland, as well as interactive exhibits.
The first part of the day was completing the ‘Foxtrail’ in groups, this is like a scavenger hut around the whole museum, hunting for clues and figuring out the answers…although we may have some cheaters in our ranks!
After lunch, the Explorers were free to look around the museum and visit whatever they wanted. We saw a potter, weaver, tasted some traditional Swiss biscuits and stroked some goats!
The highlight of many Explorers (and leader’s) days was being able to create their own toy from wood, using lots of different tools. There were certainly some interesting creations!
Now for an early bed before our zip wires and climbing day tomorrow!
