This morning we woke up in Adelboden to cold weather, fog and rain! So we decided to take the coach and drive to somewhere warmer!
We went to Spiez, a town on the side of the Thunersee Lake, where there was a food festival, beach football tournament and a swimming pool which has the largest slide in the Bernese Oberland.
When we arrived the explorers went straight to the beach football and watched Lokomotive Roggeli beat Lions Riviera, two local swiss teams.
The afternoon was then spent trying out different foods from around the world at the food festival and enjoying the numerous pools, diving boards and slide. The fastest explorer down the slide won the time trials with 14.7 seconds. Well done Ben Orchard.
Some of our explorers took the opportunity to swim in the lake. Apparently this was much colder than the pool but not as cold as the north sea!
